A Rotterdammer in Amsterdam

Yes, all rumors are true, what many people thought was impossible has eventually happened. A guy called Billy has moved to Amsterdam. Can this be interpreted as a gesture to end the ancient animosity between the two rival cities? Can Billy bring some real Rotterdam work ethic to the spoiled city of Amsterdam? Is it possible for Billy to stand his ground with his non Amsterdam accent and Rotterdam proudly exposed on his arm. We will see it al happen here. On this website you will see how Billy rocks Amsterdam, and if Amsterdam will conquer a special place in that Rotterdam heart.

This is the site to keep an eye out for Billy, a Rock ‘N’ Roll designer. You can say Billy is an all-round designer, but with a Rock ‘N’ Roll approach. Meaning that being a designer is a way of living. Something that is in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can’t turn that off. The Rock ‘N’ Roll way of working is recognizable as well, Start right at the base, be fully committed and go all the way. Don’t get distracted by what the others do, because that is not automatically the right thing. Always keep questioning the way things are done even if they are done the same way for years. Dare to be different and believe in yourself! Billy always strives to stand out of the crowd, but needless to say, always keeps the clients interest at heart.

Latest work

2012 A new year and a new start!

First of all let me wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2012 with lots of successes, love and health.

As you can see A guy called Billy is back online in 2012! I know it has been a while, I have been very busy with a lot of stuff. One of the things is a new location, from now on Billy planning his operations from Netherlands’ capitol Amsterdam, regardless of him being a Rotterdammer in heart and soul.
There are still some minor things I have to take care of within this site, but having a look around is already worth while, I think. From this site I will post different items that interest me and my own work ofcourse. I have been very busy with this site so there are not alot of posts yet. I couldn’t neglect the passing of Steve Jobs.
Anyway, I hope you will enjoy my site and keep visiting. That brings me to a special shout out.., Props to Reanimatie who did a great job of translating my idea to this awesome website! His own site is next up, so keep that in mind!

Steve Jobs, Always Inspiring

Last Wednesday October 05, 2011, we lost an icon, one of the biggest geniuses of our times, Steve Jobs. Jobs was not only an icon, he was an idol, an eternal source of inspiration, a master. From Apple fan boys and girls to those who insisted in going against his ideas, Jobs was really admired from most of us. People who would wait anxiously to see his amazing keynotes, people who would have every single Apple product but would go to a huge line to buy the new product he announced because after seeing his speech we felt that we couldn’t survive without the latest release.

We all knew that his presentations were over rehearsed but we didn’t mind and we actually liked all his perfectionism because his charisma and enthusiasm would get our attention in a way we could feel he was speaking directly to us, solving our problems, delivering something only we were thinking about. He knew exactly what to do to get us and we loved that about him.

Every single one of us probably already know his complete trajectory, from the early days in a garage to the glorious days as the man who changed the way people think, someone who dared to think differently and got all of us thinking differently too. So today we decided to honor Steve Jobs in a different way, with a little bit of silence and a few images, images gathered from websites that honored Steve, artworks from fans and some of his famous quotes.

In moments like this there is not much we can say, only thanks, thanks Steve for being so amazing. RIP.
